Beloved San Francisco takeout meals

We’ve ordered a lot of takeout over the past year. Here are some of my favorite dishes in San Francisco at the moment:

• Cabbage & chicken salad with sesame dressing from Wise Sons

• Curried lentil soup from Tartine (the little gem salad is also great)

• Shibuya roll from Okane (salmon with thinly sliced lemon on top)

• Mango chicken from Burma Love

• Valencia sandwich from Gus’s (chicken with Fuji apple slices)

I probably order each of those about once a week. It’s as though I have an internal clock telling me when 6 days have passed since the last order.

I bet that looking at that list in the far future will bring sense memories of this strange pandemic year flooding back.
