Willing to see what the morning brings

Today was a long day. Here under the covers, as it ends, I feel satisfied—but a little flat. Writing to Lisa, listening to the Lush Lofi playlist on Spotify, I found myself closing my note with an acknowledgment: “But, of course today would have been tiring. I’m willing to see what the morning brings.” And I loved the gentleness of that—loved finding it in myself without too much effort. I’m not counting on the morning being a certain way. I’m willing to wait, sleep, wake up, and see what it’s like.
